I rode from Lamar, CO to Texarkana, TX via Dodge City, KS, Joplin, MO and Fort Smith, AR. Flat. Hot. Road construction. Actually, US 71 wasn't too bad, but US 400 wasn't a lot of fun. It was over 115F on the road. When the sun went down I decided to ride a little longer, since it was cooling down. I probably missed the most scenery of the day in the darkness.
