Wednesday, August 16, 2006 - Durango, CO to Garden City, KS

More to come. We stopped in a hardware store in Pagosa Springs to get some epoxy for the GPS bracket repair.

We went up the mountain pass to South Fork (not South Park!). We had a meal at a Burger King in Alamosa, got some gas, and headed to Walsenburg. We picked up Colorado State Route 10 east. I lost my cap and had to backtrack near Cedar Crest.

We got to La Junta, gassed up again, and picked up US 50 east. We went through Holly, and I took a picture of the town name sign on the west end of town. We gassed up again in Syracuse, KS, and found a rest area on the south side of the road west of Garden City, KS. The rest area bordered a golf course. We didn't play.
