Laconia Bike Week, June 2000

I started the ride out solo. Naturally I experienced some problems. First, my voltage regulator connector got goofy. Then I sprung a leak in the front cylinder rocker box. That was a mess, but I got it fixed a mere 1000 miles after it started. I ran into four folks at a service plaza in western New York Sunday, and we rode the week out together. Great people - Steve and Patty, Phil and Kelly - I'll take these memories to the grave.

These first pictures were taken Tuesday, June 13, at Meredith, NH and Weir's Beach, NH.

Wednesday, we all took a ride around the White Mountain National Forest. Here are some shots from that ride.

Thursday, June 15th, Steve, Patty and I rode out to the Atlantic Coast, south of Portland, ME.

Friday we rode to Montreal, PQ, a city of about 60,000 (if you only count the people at the Molson bandstand Friday night!). Saturday we rode to the Ann Arbor, MI area and stayed at a Super 8 motel. Studley the Parking Lot Guard kept a close eye on our bikes for us.

Sunday we rode back to Oswego, IL, where we parted company after the requisite number of beers. Steve, sorry about drinking all your beer on you. I'll bring some with me when I bring the clan down there!
