1999 Activities and Memories

Another year, shot to hell

The year started out with a trip to Sweden and Germany in January. I took my Harley out for a 50-mile ride on Valentine's Day, making February 14th the earliest day I rode a motorcycle in a year. (The previous record was March 10th, set in 1979 on my 1976 Honda CB750K.) In June I went to Germany for 2 weeks. I took the family on a vacation northwest of Crivitz, WI July 7th through the 18th. We put in a new machine at work from July 19th through September 3rd. On August 7th we took the kids to the Packer Scrimmage. Holly and I went to Tomahawk together September 17-19. She rode her new Harley Hugger to that rally! My parents paid us a visit in October. I went deer hunting in November, got drunk. That's it. Then the whole clan drove to Glens Falls, NY to spend the Christmas holidays with family and friends back in the home town.
